Note To Self

By e g

What will it take?

Anger will become king, but its reign won’t last long, it will only last long enough for the anger to dissipate into action. And all those things you were told—those wise words, those messages from beyond, those coincidences, those horoscopes—all those things that you knew were true, that you did your best to act upon, that slipped so easily through your fingers if you took your eyes off them for just one minute . . . well, they will suddenly become sticky and/or take on the consistency of Velcro, and they will attach themselves to you with a fierce determination. And this will free you up. And your mind will be sharp. And finally, finally, finally, you will be able to do what you have wanted to do for so long now.

NEW BOOK FOR 2018!

The Immigrant's Refrigerator
Fiction. Short Stories.
GenPop Books, 2018

If luck is on an author’s side, a book reaches its audience at the right time. Elena Georgiou’s The Immigrant’s Refrigerator can confidently make this claim. Populated with a cast of characters that shine the light on what it means to be an outsider in the early part of the 21st century, this story collection takes its reader into the private lives of those who have entered a country legally, others who were forced to enter illegally, and the rest who call a country home as a result of birth; characters searching for what they need to sustain them on their journeys towards a future that will not only be a place of refuge, but also one of hope.
